Is it true that Potamos tasks take 150d to complete? Seems unrealistic to me.
Computer is running Arch Linux [6.6.72-1-lts|libc 2.40] and,
cpu is Genuine Intel(R) CPU @ 2.00GHz [Family 6 Model 62 Stepping 2]
BOINC version 8.0.2

There aren't enough hosts and completed tasks, so BOINC makes incorrect estimates. You might see a task that is projected to take 20 minutes actually take 2 hours.

Longest task I have seen is under 3 days on a Ryzen9. 150 days for a BOINC task to finish hasn't been seen anywhere as far as I can tell since the days of old Met Office code tasks for CPDN.

Will get messy if one wants CPU-only WUs on one project and GPU-only on another.
The only CPU WUs I've gotten so far are Kampylos and they run in 30ish minutes.

No project has that a option. It is a design choice the builders off Boinc have made a long time ago

it's quite easy to setup

and using device profiles i can create CPU-only, GPU-only, mixed profile on each project and allocate that to devices

for example here while M1 GPU apps are failing, i created a CPU-only profile for that computer

BTW, I meant application and not project. I doubt default, home, work, or school profiles can solve this. E.g., if I want to run Kampylos CPU WUs I have to check Accept CPU-only Work. And if I also want to run Potamos GPU WUs I'll also get Potamos CPU WUs that run forever and therein lies the problem.
And you cannot control CPU and GPU WUs from the same application individually in your app_config.
